Stephanie Hartung

Stephanie Roberts Hartung is a Teaching Professor at Northeastern University School of Law, where she teaches in the first-year Legal Skills in Social Context program. She has written extensively in the area of federal criminal procedure and wrongful convictions, specifically focusing on procedural bars to post-conviction innocence claims. Additionally, much of her scholarship focuses on the intersection of legal writing and social justice. She serves on the board of the board of trustees of the New England Innocence Project and she is the 2015 recipient of the Clarence Darrow Award from the Massachusetts Citizens Against the Death Penalty.
