Joe Bodenhamer is the director of the Wrongful Conviction Project at the Office of the Ohio Public Defender (OPD), and currently serves on the Innocence Network Executive Board. As co-chair of OPD’s Racial Justice Initiative he helped coordinate a local municipal court watch program, and works as a liaison for the initiative by regularly attending meetings and events hosted by community organizers. His career began with OPD in 1990 as a Mitigation Specialist, and he later supervised the Criminal Investigation Unit. Prior to joining OPD, Joe worked as a social worker for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Columbus.
