Gwen Jordan began her career as a state prosecutor in Colorado. She then earned her M.A. in criminal justice and a Ph.D. in history. Jordan was the J. Willard Hurst Legal History fellow at the University of Wisconsin Law School for three years and is currently an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Legal Studies at the University of Illinois Springfield. She joined the Illinois Innocence Project in 2012 as a part-time staff attorney. Jordan leads the IIP's policy initiatives and education efforts.
