Guy Miles grew up in Carson, California. In 1999, he was convicted of armed robbery and given a sentence of 75 years-to-life, despite numerous witnesses who placed him in Las Vegas at the time of the crime. His conviction rested entirely upon two shaky eyewitness identifications. He was exonerated in 2016 due to work of the California Innocence Project, whose investigation uncovered the real culprits. All three culprits came forward and confessed. On January 19, 2017, the California Court of Appeal, Fourth Appellate District, Division Three reversed Guy’s conviction, finding the confessions from the true culprits were credible.
