Amanda Knox

In 2007, Amanda Knox was accused of murdering her roommate, Meredith Kercher, while studying abroad in Perugia, Italy. The internationally infamous and controversial trial lasted nearly eight years, four of which Amanda spent in Italian prison. In 2015, the Italian Supreme Court fully exonerated Amanda, due to “stunning errors” in the investigation and “an absolute lack of biological traces” connecting her to the crime. Amanda is now a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author. Her memoir, Waiting to Be Heard, was published by HarperCollins in 2013. She received her bachelor’s degree in creative writing at the University of Washington in 2014. She currently works as a writer and advocate for the wrongly convicted.
